What is CurbPage? Product Overview + Core Philosophy

Overview

CurbPage is a Transaction Relationship Management (TRM) platform for residential real estate agents. It brings together transaction management, a CRM, and a Client Experience Hub into one system. The idea behind all of it is simple: an agent should be able to give every client a great experience, whether they're juggling one transaction or thirty.

This article is the front door to the CurbPage Academy. It'll walk you through the philosophy behind the product, then take you through every major area of the platform, with links to the dedicated articles for each along the way.

Doors opened. Transactions closed.®

Core philosophy

The agent is the hero, the client is the heartbeat, and CurbPage is the guide.

Every part of CurbPage is built around a problem that shows up for just about every growth-focused agent eventually: it's easy to give one client a great experience, and hard to give every client that same experience at once. That's what CurbPage is here to fix. It keeps transactions moving, keeps clients in the loop automatically, and frees up an agent's time to focus on the relationship instead of the busywork.

Our mission: Empower agents with innovative tools so they can consistently deliver exceptional and meaningful experiences for their clients.

Our vision: A world where every client feels valued and understood.

Our goal: Materially change the way people buy and sell property.

CurbPage is also built to work alongside the tools agents already use, including document and e-signature platforms like Dotloop or Form Simplicity, and CRMs like Sierra, rather than replace them. Think of CurbPage as the client engagement layer that sits on top of that stack.

How CurbPage connects to the tools you already use

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first thing you see when you log in, and it's built to answer one question right away: what needs my attention today?

From here, you get a rollup of active transactions, upcoming and overdue tasks, recent client activity, and any notifications that need a response, all without clicking into each transaction one by one.

Clients

Clients is CurbPage's CRM: the system of record for every contact in your business, whether they're an active client, a past client, or a lead.

Each client record holds contact details, communication history, and links to every transaction they've been part of, so you have full context without digging through old email threads or spreadsheets.

Transactions

Transactions are where the work actually happens. Each one represents a single deal, buyer or seller side, and is built on a Blueprint (more on that under Your Workflow below), which structures the deal into Stage Groups, Milestones, and Tasks.

A transaction record includes property details, key dates (most importantly Contract Acceptance Date and Closing Date, which anchor the rest of the timeline), the people involved (client, agent, TC, vendors), and the full activity and communication history for that deal.

Tasks

Tasks are the individual, trackable action items nested inside a transaction's Milestones. You can assign a task to a specific team member, give it a due date (fixed, or calculated relative to an anchor date like Contract Acceptance), and mark it complete as the work gets done.

Tasks are what keep a transaction's timeline accurate in real time. As they're completed, the client-facing view of the transaction updates right along with them.

To-Dos

Tasks live inside a specific transaction, but To-Dos are different: they're your personal, non-transaction based action list, a single place to see everything you're on the hook for, no matter which deal it belongs to.

This is the view most agents and TCs check day-to-day to know what to work on next without bouncing between transactions.

Your Workflow

"Your Workflow" is the toolkit that makes CurbPage's automation possible. It's made up of six pieces:

Transaction Blueprints

Blueprints are reusable templates that define how a transaction unfolds, structured as Stage Groups, then Milestones, then Tasks. A Buyer Blueprint and Seller Blueprint are the two most common starting points, and you can clone and adapt a Blueprint for specific scenarios (say, a New Construction version of a standard Buyer Blueprint).

Most Milestones are status-driven, meaning they move forward when the work is done, not on a fixed date. The two calendar-anchored Milestones that drive the rest of the timeline are Contract Acceptance Date and Closing Date.

Email Templates

Email Templates let you pre-write client-facing emails tied to specific Blueprint milestones, so the right message goes out at the right moment in a transaction without you drafting it from scratch every time.

Client Experience Hub

The Client Experience Hub is your client's window into their own transaction: a live, agent-branded portal showing their timeline, their team, their documents, and their vendors, all in one place. This is what replaces the "what's the status?" text message.

Learning Center

The Learning Center holds educational content you can share with clients right through their portal, helping first-time buyers, sellers, or anyone unfamiliar with a step in the process understand what's happening and why.

Vendors/Partners

The Vendors/Partners tab (you'll find it alongside Client and Teammate on a transaction) is where you manage the third parties involved in a deal, like lenders, title companies, photographers, and inspectors, and make them visible to your clients within the Client Experience Hub.

Tags

Tags let you label and organize clients, transactions, or tasks with custom categories that make sense for your business, so it's easier to filter, search, and segment your book.

Calendar

The Calendar pulls together every date-driven Milestone and Task across all of your active transactions into one unified view, so you can see what's coming up this week without opening each transaction individually.

Integrate your Calendar with Gmail or Outlook in settings to make your personal calendar completely visible inside of CurbPage alongside the Milestones and Tasks.

Notifications

Notifications keep you and your team in the loop as things happen: a task gets completed, a milestone is hit, a client takes an action in their portal, or something needs your attention. Depending on your preferences, notifications can show up in-app, by email, or both.

Related articles: Notification types explained · Setting your notification preferences

Settings

Settings is where you manage your account: your profile and branding (which shapes what clients see in the Client Experience Hub), your team and their roles and permissions, billing, and your general platform preferences.
